Ad Astra's city center is approximately one mile in area. The surrounding environs are dedicated to agriculture, energy harvesting, and light manufacturing. All the residential districts are located in the city center and the same space is shared by commercial and cultural facilities. Transit within the city is by broad paved pedestrian causeways that also serve as the passageways for an elevated personal transport system. Transit outside the city is by an elevated electric bullet train that connects to the nearest larger metropolises. Along the same line, automated container transports carry goods and materials.
